  • Michael Bruck, Advisory Director, has been an investment banker and entrepreneur focused on media and telecommunications for the past four years. From 1983 through 1999 he was with Intel, where his positions included Technical Assistant to CEO Andrew Grove, General Manager of Intel China, and Director of Market Development for the Intel Content Group. He received his masters and bachelors degrees in electronic and electrical engineering from the University of Manchester (England)
  • George Fugelsang, Managing Director, has a broad and deep background in the international financial services arena. From 1994 through 2001, he was CEO North America of Dresdner Bank AG and of Dresdner, Kleinwort, Benson, the bank's US-based investment banking business. Prior to that he was Managing Director in Morgan Stanley's Investment Banking Division, and before that a senior banker in various positions at Citicorp/Citibank throughout the US, Latin America, and central, southern, and eastern Europe. He received his masters in international business at the American Graduate School of International Management and his bachelors from the University of Oregon


  • Douglas Glen, Advisory Director, has twenty-five years of operating experience as a technology, media, and entertainment executive followed by several years as a partner at ProVen Private Equity, a London-based venture firm specializing in media and entertainment. Previously he was Senior VP for Business Development at Mattel, Group VP for Marketing at Sega, General Manager of Lucasarts Entertainment, and founder of an advertising agency which he sold to Darcy Masius Benton and Bowles. He received his PhD and MBA from Somerset University and his bachelors from MIT.
  • Bruce Kelly, President, has been an investment banker focused on micro and small cap companies for twenty years. Before joining Nolan, he was founder and Chairman of Newgrange Financial and a Baird Patrick investment banker focused on technology and insurance. Previously he was a consultant with McKinsey & Co, and as an entrepreneur was co-founder of Technology Transfer, a trading company, Intex, a software and services company which later went public, and Solar Power Corporation, financed and later bought out by Exxon. Earlier, he was Manager of R&D at Gulf + Western and a consultant on non-conventional energy to the United Nations. He received his masters and bachelors degrees from NYU.
  • Emanuel Nadler, Managing Director, has been an entrepreneur and investor focused on the international financial services arena and on recycling for thirty-five years. He has been Chairman of several mortgage banking companies including Entrust, First Advantage, Leader Financial, and Gorada Service. Previously, he was Chairman of Euroswiss Syndicators, a boutique investment bank which originated and packaged loans in Europe to US and Canadian companies, and President of Recycling Resources, which recycled textile and paper waste domestically and overseas. He is also a former member of the Commodity Exchange and the NY Mercantile Exchange. He received his professional engineering degree and masters in industrial engineering from Columbia and his bachelors from MIT.
  • Kevin Newman, Managing Director, has raised over $40 billion of private equity funds, including Blackstone's first fund and First Reserve's first fund. From March 2003 until recently, he was President and COO of Atlantic Pacific Capital. From 1999 to 2003, he was Managing Director and Global Head of Private Equity Marketing for Lehman Brothers. Prior to that he was Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at Trust Company of the West, and before that Managing Director and Co-Head of Direct Placements at CS First Boston . He received his MBA with Distinction from the University of Connecticut, and his bachelors from Providence College.
  • Douglas Paul, Managing Director, has extensive corporate and transactional experience. Recently, he has focused on financial advisory assignments, and led the leveraged buyout of a furniture importing company. From 1984 to 1987 he was VP of Strategic Planning at AIG and a direct report to the CEO, working with the senior executive team in the development and execution of a broad range of M&A and corporate development initiatives, including period line assignments. Previously, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Co where he specialized in finance and financial institutions. He received his MBA from Wharton and his bachelors from RPI.
  • James Peet, Managing Director, has extensive experience with financing and operations of technology companies. Most recently, he was with Lehman Brothers to raise and manage the $800 million Lehman Brothers Communications Fund. Previously he was a principal of the Chatterjee Group, at the time an affiliate of the Soros Funds, with his primary focus on investments in telecommunications and related industries. Prior experience includes being a consultant with the electronics and technology practice at McKinsey & Co, a consultant at Bain & Co, and a design engineer at Digital Equipment. He has served on numerous public and private boards, including Network Telephone, OpenReach, SevenSpace, Global TeleSystems, Viatel, and Hainan Airlines. He received his MBA from Harvard, where he was a Baker Scholar, and his bachelors in engineering from Dartmouth.
  • John Toedtman, Advisory Director, has thirty years of large and small company experience, with some special expertise in the health and biotech arenas. He has been CEO of GenRx, a generic injectible drug manufacturer, CEO of Personal Diagnostics, a diagnostic test kit and instrument developer, CEO of Albert USA, an internet search company, CEO of Translation Group, a language translation company, and President of Princeton Chemical Research, a technology development company. In addition, he was Group VP of Engelhard Industries, the world's largest precious metals company, in charge of thirteen manufacturing companies with over 2,000 employees. He has served on the boards of seven public companies. He received his masters and bachelors degrees in economics from Georgetown.
  • Daniel Waters, Consulting Director, is a partner at FrontPoint Partners, an integrated investment management company producing a diverse group of alternative investment strategies off a central platform. Formerly, he was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where he launched the firm's Wealth Management Services (WMS) business, providing family offices of $100 million or more with asset allocation advice, manager selection, due diligence, and consolidated reporting. He received his MBA from Harvard and his bachelors from Bowdoin.
